Well, our morning has consisted of us being in the vet's office for about an hour!
This mroning after Trixie's morning routine poop she had a live worm in it!
It was soo disgusting and I of course paniked and even cried since Im such a BAD Momma for not noticing it and taking the precautions before. I had to take her stool sample in to the vet (they put us in for it and worked around the scheldule to get her in-bless their heart!), and of course they examined it or whatever but said that nothing was found in her poop-as for some reason tape worms don't show up in feces ?? But they did check for other kinds just in case and there is no sign of them, so they are pretty much positive its tape worms.
I feel soooooo bad. He explained to me they can get them 3 ways-if they eat mice/moles or from fleas.. and well we had a few fleas a couple weeks ago so thats our best bet! Ughhhhh.. this is awful and I feel SO bad! Hopefully this gets cured soon.
He also said that Daphne (our pom) most likely dont have it, but to watch her and if we see something on/around her poop then to bring her in and they will treat her as well!
Ughhhhhh.. what a morning!
