The breeder/previous owner registered your pup with both registries. I have a male that is registered with AKC and ACA.... the reason I did that is some of my females are ACA registered.... any pups by them will be ACA. The dual registry means you can mate your male another AKC ... or... APRI female... and register pups accordingly. Actually all other registries accept AKC or APRI when applying for registry of pups.... (ie: ACA).

Basically I am saying you can register your pup with as many registries as you want to.... does not make the dog any better than any other dog.
