Yay for you for wanting to be more involved. I think I know just how you're feeling because I always wish I could find more ways to be involved. I have so much admiration for those who work in shelters and rescues because I don't think I'm strong enough for it. The humane legislation network sounds great! I'm sure if you are firm with the amount of time you are willing to give it will work out. I do consider myself an activist in that I'm a letter writer and participate in demonstrations and pay attention to legislation. I attended a HSUS grassroots meeting last Oct. hoping to come home with a million ideas but really didn't. It really helped to better understand legislation affecting animals but I was still at a loss of concrete things that I can do other than calling my legislators and writing letters. I was hoping to attend the Humane Lobby Day in Tallahassee in April but I'm not going to be able to. I'm so bummed because we will be in Tall. the week after the event.

Unfortunately I have to work around spring break for my daughter.
Anyway- good luck finding ideas. I'll be watching this thread for ideas too.
