Sheila, my heart goes out to you and your family. My grandfather lost his eyesight as well and I remember how hard it was for him and for us. I lost him about a year ago and I still miss him very much. He was the sweetest man I have ever known. Everyone has given you great advice. All I can add is to cherish every moment you have with him, be a good listener and let him know you love him.

Thanks. We lost my grandmother 4 years ago she died on my birthday. Needless to say my birthday is always hard now. I've always been as close to my grandparents as if they were my parents. My mom was sick alot when I was little so she was in and out of the hospital and I would stay with my grandparents.

Until I was a teenager I would go to there house the day after school went out and not come back home until just a few days before school started back and would cry because I had to go home. So, this has been really rough on me.
