My dog (not a yorkie, but a pomeranian mix) has just been diagnosed with LP. We received a referral to an ortho specialist at SouthPaws in Fairfax. They charge $100 for the initial visit, plus $200-400 for x-rays (per leg). We're a bit concerned about the surgery costs there, so we're looking for recommendations for (or against!) other specialists in the area.

Can anyone give us a good recommendation? We'd appreciate all advice on doctors you've seen - positive and negative.
