What a cute puppy!

For purebred Yorkies, that color change is very much normal. The top of the head turns grey, blond or golden, and then it usually settles into a rich golden-blonde color. Shortly thereafter, the saddle (i.e., the black back) turns a blue-grey color.

I'm not sure to what degree Morkies retain this color-changing trait, if at all. But my guess is that if that dog's head has started changing colors, it will follow the usual Yorkie pattern of color change and won't stay black and tan like a puppy.
