When my baby was young, she had 3 feedings throughout the day, I believe 1/4 cup each time. She's now a free feed and gets 1/3 cup twice a day, but doesn't always eat the 2nd meal. She has grown sick of her current food and I'm not beginning transitioning between different types of brands/flavors to keep her interested in her food.
When it comes to crate training, it can be very hard at times, especially if your baby starts crying when he's in there. They all touch our hearts when this happens and you want to cave in so bad to let them out, but you can't let him get the best of you if this happens. Create a schedule for him, after he eats take him outside to potty (if you choose to train him outside that is) if he doesn't go, crate him for about 10 minutes and take him back out. If he goes, give him a treat immediately after and praise praise praise. Then he can stay out for some playtime before crating him later. This was somewhat similar to the process that I used, although I found that bell training worked best for my little one. Everyone is different and has their own methods that will work best for them. I'm sure you'll get plenty of other advice from members on here. This site is wonderful! |
