I saw that they were in the rawhide section and had no info on them of what they were made out of. It did say the USA, so I was okay with that.

You could try to think of it as the Indians do, when they killed an animal every part of it had to be used for something, and this was meant to show respect to the animal.
By the way, rawhides are not 100% digestible; a small part could cause an obstruction in the intestines, and bully sticks won't do this.
