I sure hope you get it back. I would definitely go back tomorrow. I have had similar things happen to me and have always gotten my money back when they came up with extra cash. One guy embarrassed the heck out of me by telling me that I didn't give him a $20. I knew I did because I only had a $20 in my wallet. He swore it was a $10. I was so mad. I got my money back but he acted like I was stealing money from him. I don't care, I never went back there. good luck.
