Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: Remy: Petfinder -- Remy is a 2yr old 9 lb. Yorkie. He is housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs and just an all around wonderful guy. Remy has a rare disease called polycythemia vera which affects his red blood cells. Basically his bone marrow makes too many red cells which causes his blood to be too thick. He is currently on medication to help the problem and we are closely monitoring his progress. We hope to have his disease under control soon and then it's just a matter of maintenance. Remy's medication is not expensive at all... $15 a month, but he will most likely also need monitoring by a veterinarian. For more information about Remy, please email Michele at
