When a female is pregnant, most noticeable earlier on would be that her vulva will stay swollen and the teats will remain more prominent; though these do not necessarily confirm that she is pregnant. Some will have morning sickness in the first few weeks as mine did. I suspected pregnancy in my female when she was about 4 weeks, noticing a slight change in the firmness of her belly. Palpitation by our vet at about 28 days confirmed her pregnancy. They normally don't REALLY start to "show" til the las couple of weeks of pregnancy & movement of the pups in the last week-week & a half.
