I live in michigan too. And I was advised to give izzy frontline all throughout the winter. I didnt want to but I did. The winters here are bad. There are days when its below zero and tons of snow. I take izzy out but I assumed that the fleas would be dead in the cold. But like today its super warm there are bugs and flies out so Im sure there are fleas out. These are the days when I worry about fleas and also in the summer. I want a safer alternative but I dont want my dog and my home and family at risk. I wonder if anyone has tried to only use frontline every three months and how did it work. Did it effectively kill the fleas every month until it was reapplied? I was considering doing this.
I also take her out a lot in the summer to parks and I also take her to the groomer. EEk..she could get a flea there...sooo....
it seems to be a loose loose situation.
