I'm a little sad- we just gave one of our puppies to their new home. I am not quite sure if I did things the right way though. They have ALWAYS been with their momma since day 1, so this morning, I put the mom and the other puppy in a room after they had played for a bit, and kept the sold puppy with us in the living room for about 2 hours before he went to his new home. So, did I do this right? How do you "wean" them away from each other? Should I have kept them separated for much longer? (Days/weeks?)
I guess being pregnant myself makes me really emotional about a momma being away from her baby!
