Default Asthma

They believe the pneu. and asthma are two separate things going on with him. He is being treated with Aminophyllin for the asthma and clavamox for the pneu. They also can him a shot of lasix to get the fluid out of his lungs. His cough appears to being drying up some and really he doesn't cough as long as he gets the aminophyllin every 8 hours. If we go a little longer he will start to cough, so it appears that is working.

As far as the kennel cough goes he was vaccinated but my vet told me often times the owners will say they vaccinated but really didn't so I don't know. They think kennel cough was to blame for the pneu. development. I took him to one vet when I first got him and complained a lot about the cough. They insisted he was fine. they also said it could be allergies and they would most likely resolve on their own. After 5 weeks I couldn't take seeing my little guy cough all the time so I took him to another vet for a second opinion. I feel like I'm the cause of this but at the same I was just listening to the doctors orders.
