The standard really doesn't say, what the preferred nose length is, it just says that the "muzzle not too long", Breeders are left to their own preferences. The YTCA prohibits breeders from using these the terms, doll face, teddy bear, because they really have no meaning. Like the term teacup has no specific meaning, and I would not choose a dog from a breeder who uses these words. Look to the parents as the best indication of what the adult puppy will look like. Most all puppies have small noses. I know I prefer a nose on the short side, but I wouldn't want it flat like some breeds, but just small.
