I have the same one. I bought the one that's 36 in. high thinking maybe when Piper got older she might jump over the 24 in. one. What is nice is that you can take sections out of it and make any size that you want. I ended up buying another pen for the outdoors and added the panels that I wasn't using in the house. Piper is 9 months old and I don't use the xpen at all anymore in the house so I took those panels and added them to the outside pen. Now she has a nice size outdoor pen. Right now I put it at the end of our deck and I can stand at the glass door and watch her as she does her potties. I hated standing outside when it was 0 degrees , waiting for her to find the perfect spot to go. This way I stay warm, she sees me and does her business quickly so that she come back inside with me.
