You are absolutely right!

Bonding to their humans, separation anxiety later on and poor socialization can be problems if you get two puppies too close in age. You have to work very hard to prevent this by having two separate crates, individual socialization/training, etc. It's much easier to space them at least a year apart or whenever puppy #1 is potty trained and well socialized.
