wow...until 6 months! That's crazy...

Most give a total of 3 combo vaccines to puppies, being given 3-4 weeks apart, until 16 weeks of age. If you start at a later age, 2 combo vaccines can be enough protection.

The only reason you should have to give 4 combo vaccines is if the puppy was vaccinated for the first time too early (under 8 weeks of age). Any vaccines given before 8 weeks of age are usually no good as maternal antibodies persist for 8-12 weeks.
