HI Kimberly...as the line in the old movie, Cool Hand Luke" goes..."What we have here is a failure to communicate"..
I was referring to an actual commerical breeder..one who pocesses a USDA commerical license to breed.
The AKC does not classify any breeder with 3 or more litters as a commerical breeder, because they know many clubs will not allow as members anyone who is a commerical breeder. IF I am not mistaken that was in our by- laws..no brokers, dealers, commerical breeders..but again that could have changed on the commerical part. Many counties in the USA do insist on licensing to breed..any amount of litters..but I do know the Yorkie clubs will NOT allow any of our members to broker or sell to brokers, pet shops. etc.

I have obviously ruffled your feathers in something I have posted on this subject or others...these are purely my opinions and knowledge based on many years in the dog world.
