I was ill recently and in Critical unit a couple of times right during the Holidays. I was unable to keep up with Suzi's grooming and she had matts underneath her top layer... She had gone to the Groomer once before a few months before that.
So when I took her in today at 11 months old, ther were too many matts to work through, I felt guilty and bad for Suzi , it was the only time sense the surgries I could make it back with her to fix her hair again.
When i came to pick Suzi up I did not even recognize her
only when she saw me and was so happy then I realized it was her. She is all gray now, and all the puppy coat is gone, no more black hair... She also is sooo tiny now.
How long does it take for Yorkies to grow back there hair? I am thinking that her hair will be the silver color now too? I trust the groomer I go to and he actully thought i was going to be mad. However, I thought that this may have to happen as well, however i was not prepared for the dramatic change.
At least now we can start over with her hair and keep it well cared for and I am sure Suzi feels much better! I feel badly that it had gotten to that point of no return.
