If you are gone a lot two yorkies are better, but I wouldn't breed just because I had two. We have a breeding forum that has excellent information, and although I never plan to breed I have learned much by reading the threads. Buying a pet for breeding is much different than buying a pet for pleasure. You must make sure the line has no inherited health risks before you start breeding. Many inherited diseases don't even show up until the dog is 3, so it's important to test the dogs before breeding. Yorkies have been over bred because of their popularity, and so this is especially important. When you breed a dog, you affect so many lives; it really is a serious responsibility.
