 play pen/crate
We use a crate with a heated bed in it.....and took the door off of it....so it opens directly into a pet play pen that doesn't have a bottom to it. We paper trained our Maddie...so I have a tray in the play pen w/newspaper...her bowls for water/food in one corner....and her toys in another. I didn't want her to feel all cramped up, so this is why we decided on this set up. I am home all day but I have a child care business in my home....so I can't let Maddie have the run of the house. I just get her out several times a day and play/snuggle her =]
She adapted very well to this. We can leave on the weekends for several hours at a time, as she has everything she needs right there. (not that I like to leave her, but sometimes I don't have control over that) She snuggles up in a little ball in her little bed and feels very safe from all of the kids! =] |
