Yes, his name is very fitting. After I had my first daughter in 1999 I seen the name Evan in a baby magazine and loved the name so much I knew I was going to name my next child Evan if/when I had another one. Boy or girl the name was going to be Evan/boy or Evyn/girl.

Anyway, Evan was born 13 weeks early on Feb. 17, 2003 and weighed in at a mere 2 lbs, spent the first 2 1/2 months in the NICU fighting to be here - so his name has been fitting since day one. Another meaning for his name that I have seen is "GOD is gracious". Either "young warrior" or "GOD is gracious" is so fitting for everything he has been through in 5 yrs... He is my HERO...
