Default Feeding Guidance

Hello all you yorkie lovers,

I just got my 18 wk old baby, Youkie, about 2 weeks ago. I switched his food to Iams Smart Puppy Proactive health (dry). The first week when I mixed the new with his previous food (Biljac), he seemed to like it.

Now after 2 days of eating Iams alone, mixed with a little water (2 tblsp) he doesn't seem to eat as well. At night I mix his food with a 1/2 tsp of crushed pinapples (told this was a good deterent for stopping him from eating his poop). He eats this portion a little better, until he's gotten all the pinapples out.

I feed him according to the weight guide on the packaging, 1 1/2 cup a day ( 1/2 cup 3x a day) and he only eats about 1/4 cup each feeding... if that. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any and all help you can provide, regarding the appropriate amount to feed, mixing the dry food with water, adding the pinapples to the food, etc.
