I did register Ellie.
We considered breeding her at first, so that may have been the main reason but in general we just thought it was the thing to do.
If I had to do it over again, I would register.
You have access to their pedigree for a fee (not sure if you would without registering) and I like the AKC in general, so I am glad to be a part of the whole thing.
