Default Dull coat, constipation..thyroid?

I just wanted to pick your brains to see if anyone else might have some experience in this. Scout's yearly is coming up in a couple weeks, so don't worry..he's going to the vet, but there are some things I'm worried about with him. Perhaps I'm spending too much time and energy obsessing about my dogs, but here's the story:

I've noticed in the last few months, Scout's coat looks dull, and he looks dirty just a day after a bath. He is also having frequent bouts of constipation. He eats a good quality food-Solid Gold Wee Bits-and my other two dogs eat the same and look great. He seems to act a little more grouchy and not quite as active as usual. He is not fat..in fact a little on the skinny side, but the vet says he's a good weight for his little body frame. He likes to nap alot, but he does have periods of play with his brother. He is 4 years old.

I was thinking maybe thyroid? But anyone else have any experience or know anything about this?

Here are some pics...excuse his bed head, but I think the picture illustrates what I'm talking about...he had a bath 3 days ago..the others still look fresh.
