OH honey I feel you! Wookie and I have only spent one night apart since I got him 3 years ago, and that was because he was in the hospital. I would have stayed there if they would have let me!!

My friend/mentor is a hollistic groomer/boarder. She runs her place so that it is totally comforting and relaxing for the dogs. What she recommends to people who are dropping off their dogs is that they don't make a big deal about leaving them. Don't be sad and crying and hanging onto them, because they feed off of you. If you are upset and worried they will be too. I know it is hard to do that, but just think that it is best for her. She saids not to make 'good byes' long. Make it a short, happy time. She also recommends bringing the dog a couple times to the kennel so that they are already a little familiar with the place. Maybe you should do that over the next few days. Hope this helps some.
