Default Training

Hey, I got my yorkie at 8 weeks old and do the crate training at night and in the pen in the day time while I am away on wee pads and he does fine with it. He does have accidents on the floor if I am not watching him. But usually does pretty well with the pads.
He has never wet inside the crate at all.
I use one of my t-shirts with my smell on it for him to sleep on in his crate. I also put a blanket rolled up along the side. If you use a blanket down in there he might get confused with it being like a wee pad since he is so small.
But you have to take them out to pee pretty much during the night you don't leave him in there all night long to the next morning.
At first I got up with him like 1 1/2- 2 hours. He woke me up.
He then worked his way up. You have to listen for them. They should
wake you up with a bark or something if not you need to get him up
and take him to the wee pads.
My puppy is 16 weeks old today and he goes from 8:30 p.m. to 3:45 a.m. at least that is what is was today. So they get better at it. It does take time and patience.
I hope this helps.
