re:yorkie for easter As a person that does sometimes breed, I can tell you that I do not allow people to drive around and look at other litters and then come here bringing God knows what germs and exposure to disease. I get to know potential buyers pretty well before they ever see a pup. I do send pictures and have many phone conversations so that I can match the personality of the owner with the personality of the puppy. My primary concern is my puppy and the home that it will have. I only breed about one litter per year and so far this has worked well for me. I do my best to educate potential buyers on the breed in general and what to look for in a responsible breeder. I do health testing and encourage people to ask for that wherever they buy from. It is important to have a breeder that youre comfortable with and that will be there for you for the life of the dog. You are talking about a committment that lasts an average of 15 years and the breeder should be very concerned about your ability to live up to that commitment. No breeder can say that you will never have a problem. It is how they will handle any potential problem that matters most. JMO
