There are people who believe high protein is damaging to small dogs and others who believe it is the best way and the way nature intended dogs to eat. I'm not sure where exactly I fall on that scale
somewhere in between I guess. I think if you want to feed a high protein diet it should come from a varied diet, not only high protein kibble . I would do a rotation of kibble /canned or raw. but again... that's just my preference , nothing scientific about it
