Most likely he's just excited and acting normal. My male, Rylie will rub on my couches and stairs when he walks by sometimes, especially after I put his hair up or put clothes on him. And my female, Lacy will rub her face on the carpet if it gets wet...so if he eats a moist food, he might be drying his face.

However, it is possible that something could be going on. The actions you described can be common symptoms of a liver shunt, especially being right after he eats. The walking and rubbing against walls especially. Many times you will also see circling, head pressing, and sometimes seizures. Not all liver shunt dogs show symptoms though...and it's possible that if he does have a liver issue that he could just now be developing symptoms. I always think it's a good idea to have yorkies bile acid tested while they are still puppies since liver issues are so common in the breed.

Also, it is possible that he could have developed an allergy to his food. Have you noticed any other scratching, chewing on self, or gastrointestinal upset?
