Here is my set up right now.

Bailey is 8 weeks and 3 days old. I keep him in a med crate. In the crate is a bathroom mat with a small box with litter in the back, and some food in a small bowl up front, and a water bottle attached to the door.

He has had no accidents in the crate and uses the litter. BUT.... when we have him out to to play he will sometime use the litter and sometimes wont, I bought peepads today since that is what seems everyone on here uses although today he just tried to chew on them.

During the day when I am at school (college) hubby is at work and kids are in school we bought a baby gate and keep him in our bathroom with lots of toys so he isnt cooped up in the crate during the day. and in the bathroom today (first day we have put him in the bathroom) he used the litter as well.

I just wonder if I should keep using the litter or switch him to peepads?

Also, you mentioned an X pen... what is that?
