Hi everyone! Russ is my name and on March 1, 2009, we will bring "Tyson" home @ which time he will be 12 weeks! We are so excited! Family and I have been wanting a new family "member" for the last two years and decided 6 months ago that a yorkie would be perfect for us. While doing all the reading that I could, happened to come across this site and I'm sure glad I did! Awesome tips and information! Already bookmarked!

Almost got everything for the welcoming party. Great thing is, the kids don't know exactly when he'll be here so that's an extra surprise!

First question for the forum, because I live in Michigan and the weather is quite cold now, should I go ahead and pad train first or should I try to push the outdoor thing from the jump? With the pads, is odor any problem even if it is still on the disposable pad? Which is better to use in conjunction with the crate? I work from home most of the time so I will have the necessary time to devote to start this puppy on the right track.
