A few neighbors have told me about that dog tearing open their garbage bags and the mess they had to clean up.
I called animal control. I had to do something and I felt that anyone who would leave a helpless animal outside probably wouldn't be open to conversation about their dog. (They also have a pit bull, which per our by-laws, is against the rules of our home owner's association).
If they ask me about the situation, I'm not sure what I will say. I was furious!!!!!!! |
Did animal control come and take the dog or talk to the owner? Do you know? I think that you did the right thing. 7 hrs is FAR too long for that dog to be outside in cold temperatures. It could have died! That's very neglectful of the owners.
