I think you will be able to find a yorkie here on YT. I think a lot of us didn't know where to look before coming to this site and I know personally I found it so frustrating because everytime I called places they were already spoken for. I personally wouldn't have a problem buying one from out of state specially if you can talk to the breeder and tell them what you are looking for because if they are a good breeder they will know the personality of the dog and know which one will be the right one for you. When I got my Standard Poodle I bought her from a breeder in Colorado and she asked me what I was looking for. I told her a non-dominate female and she told me she knew the exact one who lets all the other dogs eat first and then she eats. It was a great experience. As far as the pricing. I definitely think you get what you pay for. I know there are some people on her who said they got their yorkies for $500 or something like that but I think a good breeder has to invest a lot of time and money into the dogs and will have to charge $1,000 minimum.
