I thought about bringing him into my home...maybe the garage, but I wasn't sure about him being current on his shots, and I wouldn't want Prince to catch anything. The dog had been outside for at least seven hours!!!! (My husband saw him when he left for work, and Prince and I saw him scratching at his front door and screaming!!They always let their dog roam the neighborhood, although we have a lease law. A few neighbors have told me about that dog tearing open their garbage bags and the mess they had to clean up.
I called animal control. I had to do something and I felt that anyone who would leave a helpless animal outside probably wouldn't be open to conversation about their dog. (They also have a pit bull, which per our by-laws, is against the rules of our home owner's association).
If they ask me about the situation, I'm not sure what I will say. I was furious!!!!!!!
