Layla was SO hard to leash train- wait do you mean just walk on a leash or teaching "heel"? Layla would never heel- and her trainer said that was fine- small dogs have probably been accidentily stepped on (yup that's Lay) so she is naturally scared- but as long as she would loose leash walk next to me. that was fine.
