My hubby is a falconer so I know a little about how hawks can be. These yorkies just look like prey. If you ever come across a hawk that swoops at people it could be because it's an imprint and just looks at you like you might be it's food source. If you see them with any kind of band on their feet make sure you report it because it's probably registered and belongs to a linsenced falconer. If you ever experience one that's being a nusense or threat you can probably call your fish and wildlife conservation office to come check it out. In case some of you don't know this, don't ever try to get rid of it yourself because harming one is a federal offense. Since owls and hawks or falcons don't like each other you could keep a statue of an owl and or a hawk in your yard to try to deter them away. Lucky for me hubby hasn't had a falcon since I got Roxie but if he does ever get another one then I'll make sure they never come in contact with one another. |
