Great post! I have always had my animals microchipped, including teeny baby ferrets. I've never encountered a problem! The percentage of problems must be minor in comparison to the amount of successes otherwise we would have heard about it. I realize there are probably lots of stories like this but we rarely hear about successful cases because no-one wants to report about them

Obviously this particular microchip went more than skin deep and if I were the owner I would most certainly be holding the vet responsible!!!
