When I was in 7th grade, my pet bird (cockateil), escaped out the window, and just as I was running to pick him up, a huge hawk swooped out of the sky and took my bird away! I was so traumatized! I was about 5 feet away. I was so close too!
I am SOO fearful that this will happen to my baby, Lola! Because of that other incident, I am completely overly paranoid about it! I freak out if I see a hawk in the sky and Lola is off leash. The scariest thing, is a lot of times, you can't even see the hawks...they come out of nowhere! I am so glad Lucy escaped, but this just furthers my fears!!
