Most good breeders won't let their puppies go until at the very least 12 weeks of age. They really need that extra time with their mom and siblings for their development. It is so beneficial to them. As far as when to start the shots that is a personal preference, but I would be more concerned with making sure the puppy you are getting is ready to go to their new home emotionally. Good luck!
