When I have had dogs come at me whether or not my dogs are with me, I stand firm and yell at the dog "NO!" and I don't turn my back until I know they are off and running the other way. *knock on wood* I've never been attacked, and thats worked with several breeds including pitt bulls. |
That worked when you had your dogs with you? I'll keep that in mind but I'm afraid that my dogs would be trying to get at the dog too. So my question is are your dogs trying to get at the stray dog or are they better behaved then mine? Ivy & Max don't know they are little, I think they think their full size. Would I have time to get the pepper spray out? It's not fair that we have to worry about something so small as walking our dogs. A larger dog would be able to kill a yorkie in no time.
