Congrats on the baby!
BTW, Walker will ALSO be 8 months older, and hopefully a little calmer, too. When I was pregnant with my daughter (eons ago!), my dog would lay on the couch with his head in my lap. Later, he'd put his head on my belly. When the baby moved, he'd *loooook* at my belly, totally confused. But a lot of the time he'd look like he was listening.
When I brought her home, he KNEW her. He protected her to the day we had to send him to the rainbow bridge when he was 10.
I don't know if it was a fluke or what, but maybe if Walker has the opportunity to "spend time" with the baby before s/he's born, maybe it will make it easier? |
