If You know how to do a french braid you could maybe try to french braid her on one side and then the other and maybe that would last for a few days before it would need to be redone. I have never tried that so I would make sure you are at home to check it often in case it came loose and 'caught' a puppy in the braid, but that's my un-educated guess.
