Gonna get kicked out if barking doesn't stop!! Help!! I am so worried because my furbaby barks so much, and people are complaining to my apt. management!! Sometimes she's not so bad, and other days she's TERRIBLE! My porch faces a green lawn in front, where a lot of dogs always are, and it's the complex's puppy potty. Lola will run out there and bark her head off. She also barks when she hears things outside (which is often because there are a lot of people around). My parents have had it and I'm afraid they aren't going to let her stay with them ever if she doesn't stop barking. They live out in the hills, but there's a lot of critters outside, that make her bark. When we are coming home and she can hear us coming home, she goes crazy! How can we control it, if we aren't even in the apartment yet?? We yell "Quiet!" but it doesn't work.
The WORST though: is when we are in the car! If I have to run in the bank, or get coffee, or whatever, she absolutely goes nuts and about bursts my eardrums (and the poor people who are with me). I don't feel comfortable using a bark collar (unless the spray one is small enough for a 4 pounder). We've tried the water bottle, but it's hard when we are in the car, or not in the apartment. Also, with the water bottle, she runs away and starts barking, so it's almost impossible to catch her. I love her in every single way, but I REALLY don't want to lose my place because of it!! I don't know what else to do!! Any suggestions?? |
