I have three Yorkies, all with different kinds of coats. The very thick cottony one is always kept in a short cut. If I got to choose again, I would FOR SURE choose a silky coat. My silky is SO easy to groom and care for.
FYI.. for any coats but especially cotton I have found that Happy Tails products do absolute wonders!!! The Bubbles and Beads shampoo/conditioner is great and the Fur Butter is too. My dogs coats brightened up and were marvelous looking after using their shampoo and I didn't even need an extra conditoner or grooming product which, for two of my dogs, is amazing.
