Hmm...I didn't realize that. I have always tried to rinse well and suck up as much as possible but I didn't realize it would attract dirt if you didn't. I bought one a few months ago and apparently I didn't rinse the soap out enough because my floor felt sticky so the next time I rinsed the heck out of it and it was darn near dry when I was finished soaking everything up too, it worked though. My mom has had one for a few years so I've used hers before and never had that problem, I don't know if it was the soap or what but whatever it was I fixed it the next time.
