 When to spay after first heat
Hi everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I had a quick question: when is it best to spay after a heat? I read somewhere that it's best to spay 3 months after the female's heat so that the progesterone level doesn't drop suddenly. But I thought I would ask the experts on YT. I would have spayed my little baby before, but the vet and I decided to wait until after her first heat because she had juvenile vaginitis and going through their first heat sometimes helps clear that up. That, and I was also waiting to see if she needed any baby teeth pulled (which she does, her two upper canines). So, any help would be great. Thank you guys so much!!! |
