alot in here and stuff this personal.. but Im at my whits end and need ALL positive thoughts and prayers we can get! (this is LONG and maybe TMI but I feel everyone should know the whole story on it to understand it all) Sorry if this is something that doesnt need to be posted.. but I just need LOTS of thoughts and prayers on this!
Last night we had 2 officers show up at our door and issued a warrant for my Dh. Now, what its about:
About 3 months ago my Dh did work for like 5 days for a guy in town that owned a computer shop. My Dh stopped doing business with him, as he didn’t agree on a lot of things how this guy did and ran his business (why he only was there for 5 days). Before, the guy was really pissed that my Dh just up and left and didn’t wanna stay around to help him, so he threatened a whole bunch of stuff on us and all. My Dh did a call for him where he went out to the customers house on a SUNDAY. Since the shop he is/was representing is closed on Sundays, he explained to the customer and the owner of the shop that the labor being charged would go strictly to my Dh since he was out there on his own time and not shop time, BUT that the hardware he used would go to the shop’s benefit since it was the shop’s part. This customer paid my Dh for the labor.. but not for the part, as that is suppose to of course, go to the owner of the shop. Evidently this customer hasn’t yet paid and now we are paying for it so to speak. The owner is very furious still at my Dh leaving his shop and not representing him and I guess this is his way of getting back at us. What is happening, this warrant says that he is trying to get my Dh for the cost of the hard-drive part that he never received. He states that my dh did work at the customers and failed to get the money for the harddrive to give back to him. But what is interesting…
My Dh did a few other calls for him as well, and still has NOT got paid for the work he did. The harddrive they sold for $75.00, and he owes my Dh $62.00 for the past work he has done on other calls. So they aren’t saying that he STOLE the harddrive.. they are saying that it was HIS responsibility to pay for the harddrive since he took it from the shop. Well I can see where it can be his fault.. and is, but at the same time, he has never gave the money to us that he still owes us. I mean, we weren’t really pushing $62.00 as its not a huge amount.. which is really weird since he’s pushing an issue for a $75.00 harddrive. This is listed as a misdeamenor, which isn’t that bad, BUT what is bad and makes it so stressful on us is that my Dh is on probation still for stupid s**t that happened back in 1999/2000! Ya know? And Im just afraid that if worse comes to worse, they will or can give my Dh time or of course find him guilty since the fact is that he did NOT give the money for the harddrive to the owner (he didn’t get it and was told by the customer that she understood that charge would be paid to the shop), and that will cause a probation violation and we will be in more s**t than ever! Of course, if that happens he will have to do out his sentence in the previous charges!
I can NOT take this yall! I got NO sleep last night.. Im crying now, I can’t stop thinking about it and Im literally going crazy. The hearing is schelduled fro Oct. 20th, and what that is I guess is to go over the case, give us another court date and maybe ask if we want an attorney and all that… I’m literally a mess. What if on that hearing date they see he is currently on probation and decide to *hold* him until the said other court date? Can they do that? If that happens, he will lose his job, and everything will just go downhill! I can’t belive this petty s**t is happening.. (
This is why I posted what I did yesterday.. and why I will be scarce if not around at all! I just can’t think of anything else! So please, if you pray or whatever, keep us in your thoughts! We are just in waiting right now til the 20th.. this is the most awful feeling in the world!
Why? Why does this s**t always happen to US? Yeah, he paid for the past things he did and in fact is still paying for it technically.. but why now? Why this s**t happening? Omg.. Im not gonna make it in one piece and have NO clue what to do, think or whatever right now!
