 Anal Glands
I have a larger, 80 lb dog (as well as my little yorkie rescue) that literally shoots the fluid from his body. He has a range of about 24"....(It's a curse upon my soul). Anyway, I've been told to "Bulk" up his diet. Pumpkin in his food, whole carrots, squash,.... Anything to build the fiber content without giving them something like metamucil (which would have the opposite effect.)
\Basically, you want the poop to be more solid, because this is what helps express the anal glands naturally.
It's been working for him.... there's been a HUGE difference.
